Happy Are the Humble: Torren Wells on Redefining Success and Joy

Join Shannon Bream as she welcomes Tauren Wells, multi-platinum recording artist and pastor, to discuss his new book Joy Bomb: Unleash Jesus’s Explosive Joy for an Extraordinary Life. With refreshing vulnerability and biblical insight, Tauren shares how he discovered that when Jesus said “blessed” in the Beatitudes, His first-century audience actually heard “happy, prosperous, glad, delight” – meaning Jesus began His ministry with a revolutionary message about true happiness! He explains how Jesus chose to deliver this joy-filled sermon from a desolate hillside called Aramis (meaning “isolated, desolate, and strength”), showing us that authentic joy flows from within even during our most challenging seasons. Tauren demystifies God’s upside-down kingdom where greatness comes through humility, forgiveness sets us free, and the meek inherit the earth – offering hope for anyone overwhelmed by circumstances beyond their control.
